Projects

Just like any project, having a plan in place makes the process more efficient. The sample project here can be used as a starting point and adapted to fit your processes.

Tips & Best Practices:

• • • Use tasks to track progress. For example, if you wish to track whether the amendment was sent to the client and whether it was signed (if necessary), make them two separate tasks.
    • Use project fields to track data.
    • Be as detailed or as high-level as you need to be.
    • Tasks can only be returned within the same task grouping (green row in the Excel template spreadsheet).

Event Management

An efficient way to track progress and stay organized throughout the process.

Tips & Best Practices:

• • • Events are created from tasks.
    • Steps to create events:
      • Plan events and be sure each event exists as a task
      • Create event configurations
      • Add events to projects (templates and launched projects)
      • Add events
    • Add numbers to the beginning of the event configurations to track progress sequentially rather than alphabetically.

PlanSponsorLink (PSL)

PSL is an easy way to transmit the amendment to your client and track whether it has been downloaded.

Tips & Best Practices:

• • • Save the amendment to the plan or project and check the “Show on PSL” box to make the amendment available for your clients to download.
    • Use the information icon to verify whether the document has been downloaded.

ftwilliam.com Document Download

One of the features of the Automate Compliance Bundle is being able to pull documents from ftwilliam.com to PensionPro. As the amendment is completed, it can be pulled into PensionPro. Once in PensionPro, it can be shown on PSL with a Fast Blast to give your client instructions.

Docusign Integration

If the amendment needs to be signed and you have Docusign, you can use the integration with PensionPro to send the amendment to your client. Docusign can be set to send automatic reminders until signed. Once signed, the amendment can be posted to (PSL, and the unsigned amendment can be archived.
